For a taste of Europe visit Vivace on NW 23rd and Pettygrove in Portland, Oregon. Vivace is a french creperie with a sophisticated vintage vibe. Often you’ll hear a french lesson a few tables away, with the perfect accent because it’s a french person teaching it.
For petit dejeuner my favorite dish is the swiss and mushroom omelet. Pour dejeuner or diner I prefer the chicken, mozerella, mushroom, spring green, tomato and pesto savory crepe. Vivace lives true to it’s Portland roots with phenomenal lattes, often a heart or flower beautifying the foamed milk. Vivace has a 97% like rating on Urbanspoon. Reasonably it’s one of the restaurants that manages to lure me out of my comfy neighborhood because there’s nowhere else quite like it.
